Hot Days of almost Summer!

Mom and I have been trying to stay cool this Spring. It's really been a HOT one. I have had  to drink plenty of water & stay in front of the fan during the day.  It's hot in my room at Mom's work. We can't go for walks during the day. I might burn my feet on the sidewalk and we greyhounds are prone to over heating and heat stroke. So I am left to helping out at work the best I can. Have a great Summer everyone!

Waiting For Santa

Well it's almost time for Santa to get to work and bring all of the good puppy dogs a few surprises for under the Christmas tree. I have been really,really good this year so maybe some of my wishes can come true.  My biggest wish is that all the homeless puppy dogs in the world find their forever home and family. I am such a lucky dog now that I have mine.

Huntsville Botanical Gardens "Scarecrow Trail 2010"

I got the Scarecrow finished and placed at the Huntsville, AL Botanical Gardens and he will be there until Oct 31, 2010. Go by and check him out, Batman's arch enemy "The Joker"

Scarecrow Trail 2010 at the Huntsville Botanical Garden

Well I have signed up to make a scarecrow for this years "Scarecrow Trail is going Hollywood" at the Huntsville Botanical Garden. This year the scarecrows will be themed around favorite movies or cinema characters.  I'll be picking my up my armature for the scarecrow this week and shopping for it's clothes.

My BIG New Back Yard.

The other night when Mom and I got home from work Dad got me out of the car and took me through the house to my back yard. I went out the door to do the usual inspection and sniff. You never know who or what might have been out there during the day. When all of a sudden I was in a part of the yard I had never been in before. I was in the middle of a very BIG yard instead of my little one. Someone had move the fence! At first all I could was stare all around, then stiff all around and try to take everything in.
Then all of a sudden, I was struck by this over powering urge to RUN!!!!! I made about three big laps of pure joy before I ran out of steam and needed a nap. I was so tried, but happy, that after supper I napped for about two hours before I had to get up and go to bed.
I love my new yard and I love to RUN RUN RUN!!!!!!!!!!

The Grand Babies Are Here!!!

Last Thursday evening as I was resting on my couch in the living room when I heard a noise outside. There was a knocking sound and Dad opened the front door. All these people came into my house, there were big ones and little ones and they had all this stuff with them. All weekend long they kept saying "Happy Mother's Day Memaw!"
I don't know what Mom was thinking. She let them have my bedroom and sleep in my big bed. I had to sleep on the floor in Mom's office for several nights. She kept paying them more attention then she did me and she had to keep putting my water bowl up to keep that littlest person for playing in it. Their things were all over and in my way most of the time.
They're gone now and I have my house and family all to myself again.
However Mom seemed a little sad when they left.  Maybe it wasn't so bad having them here. They did love on me a lot. They also gave me extra snacks and played with me in the backyard. So I guess if they wanted to come back and visit us again it would be okay!
What ever makes my Mommy Happy!

Mom and Dad are off to Hawaii for a week!

My Mom and Dad are heading out of town again! I don't get to go this time,but I don't mind too much. I get to go stay at what Dad calls "Doggie Camp" at Whitesburg Animal Hospital. I always get lots of attention there. Mom gets me the TLC Package for the weekends (Extra trips outside and Snacks). But during the week "Oh Boy" she signs me up for enrichment classes. We get to play, learn manners and just have a really good time with all my friends. I'm so worn out from all that fun that I'll need a nap or two when I get back home. See you in a week!
